Criminal Charges Being Prepared Against
Gonzales?

...McKay said he was summoned to Washington, D.C., in June and
questioned for eight hours about possible reasons for his firing by
investigators with the Office of Inspector General, who will forward
their final report to Congress. “My best guess is it will be released
sometime next month,’’ and likely will include recommendations for
criminal prosecutions of Gonzales and maybe others, McKay said.

....“The Attorney General should not lie,” McKay stated.

Judiciary Subcommittees Holding Joint Oversight Hearing
on Selective Prosecution
John Conyers Press Release House Judiciary Chairman

The House Judiciary Subcommittees on Crime, Terrorism and
Homeland Security and Commercial and Administrative Law will hold
a hearing titled, "Allegations of Selective Prosecution: The Erosion of
Public Confidence in Our Federal Justice System" TOMORROW,
October 23, at 10 a.m. in room 2141 of the Rayburn House Office
Building. Members will address allegations of selective prosecution in
several states including Alabama, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.

Department today ( Oct 23, 2007).
Of particular interest is the
prosecution of Don Siegelman,
former Democratic governor of
Alabama. Some say his case was
politically motivated.
