THE ISSUE: Former White House adviser Karl Rove should tell
Congress whether he pushed for the Justice Department to prosecute
Alabama's ex-governor Don Siegelman.
Let's be frank. No matter how many judges admonish us otherwise, or
how many times we read the Fifth Amendment, our instinct is to
suspect the worst when someone doesn't answer an accusation or
speak in his own defense.
So-and-so won't take the stand? What has he got to hide?
