Robert R. "Rob" Riley Jr.
GOP operative, Birmingham Lawyer and son of Governor Bob Riley
Born in Ashland, Alabama in 1965, Rob was - like Don
Siegelman - was the president of the Alabama University
Student Government Association. While in school there he met
Dana Jill Simpson.
Rob Riley figures in this case because it was in large part his
conversations with Dana Jill Simpson, a republican lawyer who
partnered with him on various law cases and worked with him in
his father's campaign for Governor of Alabama, that were
reported in an initial affidavit released in June 2007, and later a
in sworn testimony to a congressional investigation committee
that exposed the connection with the White House in the
prosecution of Don Siegelman.
Rob graduated magna cum laude from the University of
Alabama; he went to Yale and the University of Cambridge to law
school. He was admitted to the Bar in 1991in Alabama. He
serves on the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit; U.S.
District Court, Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of
Alabama. [1]
His Law Firm in Birmingham chiefly represents those who have
suffered catastrophic injuries or economic losses from personal
injury, medical malpractice, securities fraud, breach of contract,
